Digital Fashion VR Experience
Join an immersive digital fashion and virtual networking experience with Metafash and RFI on the immersive XR platform. Includes experience in Virtual Reality, in addition to desktop and mobile versions. Simple, easy and affordable! Follow the instructions below to create your avatar and participate.
How to participate

To access the experience, access the Engage website here and create your account with login and password. It's completely free. You can also create your account by clicking here. After creating your account remember to open the confirmation email you will receive to confirm your email. Confirmation is required for you to have full access.

After creating your account on the Engage website and confirming your email, install the software on your device (VR, Desktop or Mobile). You can download here.
Engage VR is accessible to everyone and works with virtual reality headset, computers and mobile devices.
Register and download Engage VR as soon as possible. It is very important that these two steps are done in advance, before the start of the event, so that you can access and do not miss any attractions. After registering and downloading, open the application and use your username and password to start customizing your avatar as shown in the video below.

Stable broadband connection, ENGAGE requires at least 4 Mbps of internet upload and 8 Mbps download to function.
IMPORTANT: It is highly recommended to wearing headphones/earphones to improve the audio quality and to avoid sounds from your environment and echos. If multiple Engage user are in one physical space, headphones are essential and the use of noise cancellation headphones are highly recommended. About RFI
The RFI is an immersive platform for implementing & promoting innovative, experimental, sustainable approaches to challenges in the fashion industry. The Institute's Founder & CEO, Juliane Khal, is a designer and researcher focusing on the future of fashion. Her main interest is the development and application of new technologies to promote sustainability. As a board member of the NGO Umwelt-Akademie e.V. she promotes the development and implementation of sustainable research projects in the fashion sector and links these with environmental policy. In the course of her many years of teaching and pedagogical practice, she has developed modules and methods for national and international educational institutions like the the Academy for Fashion and Design and the London College of Fashion. In 2016 Juliane Kahl initiated the first Fashion Hackathon in East Africa in Addis Ababa. The project received the "Better Lives" award of the London College of Fashion. Her current project, the "Material Harvesting Hack" has been supported by the German Council for Sustainable Development (RNE) since 2019.
About artsXR
arts XR is an immersive production studio, by artists, designers and co-founders: Kristina Thiele, Alejandro Escobar and Chris Follows. The studio explores the potential in digital multi-user interactive environments pushing the boundaries across platforms using current and emerging technologies. Our mission is to challenge existing aesthetic parameters set by developers outside the artistic context by bespoke worldbuilding as well as making this technology more democratic for the arts by removing geographical, financial and political barriers.
